BRU Burger’s Honey Chipotle BBQ Burger towers high

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard all the talk about Downtown Evansville’s newest restaurant scene — BRU Burger Bar in the former Greyhound bus station. This house of burger connoisseurs stack up more than a dozen signature and classic burgers as well an array of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Out of all the offerings, however, it’s the Honey Chipotle BBQ Burger that rises above the pack — literally.

Avoir une Brioche! BRU’s Executive Chef Gil Quezada starts this burger off with a French-style brioche bun — a light, sweet, enriched bun made with a high egg and butter content.

Golden Ring: The top of this tower is christened with a deep-fried, thick, golden onion ring. When all is said and done, the Honey Chipotle BBQ Burger is the tallest offered by the restaurant.

Kickin’ Aioli: The construction of the burger begins and ends with black pepper aioli, a different twist to the common mayo.

Cheesy Delight: White cheddar cheese melts perfectly in the center of the Honey Chipotle Burger’s ingredients.

Tantalizing Onion: Delectable, caramelized onions are nestled on the burger, offering a sweet texture to the dish.

Patty Mix: The star of all of BRU Burger’s signature and classic sandwiches are the premium, mixed beef patties.

Smokin’ BBQ: A pile of the namesake of this burger — pulled-pork covered in BRU’s honey chipotle barbecue sauce — adds another layer to this masterpiece.
