Deli-cious

Jason’s Deli serves fresh, healthy ingredients
Jason’s Deli salad bar includes fresh organics, dozens of toppings, real cheeses, fresh-made sides, and mini-muffins.

Throw out the bad, and bring on the good!

That’s what Jason’s Deli serves on the table as the first major restaurant in the U.S. to ban artificial trans fat, and also the first to eliminate high-fructose corn syrup.

Bringing true freshness and nutrient-filled ingredients, Jason’s Deli welcomed its first customers Sept. 9, 2013, at 943 N. Green River Road on Evansville’s East Side.

Jason’s Deli began in 1976 when Joe Tortorice Jr. opened the original restaurant in Beaumont, Texas. Today, there are approximately 240 delis in 28 states.

The restaurant offers premium specialty sandwiches with popular favorites such as Reuben THE Great served with a half pound of hot corned beef or pastrami, Swiss, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, and grilled on rye.

Diners also can choose from an unlimited garden fresh salad bar, or pick from six salad entrees.

Jason’s Deli manager Clark Tillman of Evansville says the deli’s appeal to customers is the “food quality and service, and having a seamless combination of both.”

“We have fresh produce everyday, and no fryers or anything of the sort here,” he says. “We have healthy choices, our salad bar is very popular, and we have gluten-free options.”

Customers can order online, by phone, or you can download the Jason’s Deli mobile app on your iPhone or iPad to order on the go.

Options also include building your own sandwich, paninis, soups, pasta, and potatoes. Top the meal off with free soft serve ice cream cones.
