Spring 2008 RopeWalk Reading
April 8, 24. Kleymeyer Hall, Liberal Center, University of Southern Indiana. Mad Dog on the Loose: The Leslie Irvin Murders, 1954-1955
April 10, Willard Library, 21 First Ave. Researcher and writer Peggy Newton offers her insight into Leslie “Mad Dog” Irvin, one of the city’s most notorious killers. The Threepenny Opera

Homes of Note Tour

Die Kirche Auktion Fest
April 13. Old Haubstadt Gym, corner of Gibson and West streets, Haubstadt, Ind. Now in its fifth year, this fundraiser its name is German for “The Church Auction Fest” has grown significantly since its inception, raising $100,000 for the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Silent and live auctions feature a wide range of goods and services, from handmade quilts to vacation packages. Silent auction from 8 a.m. to noon; live auction from 1 to 5 p.m., with skits and entertainment to liven up the bidding.
