6th Annual Golf Benefit
May 19. Victoria National Golf Course, Newburgh. Avid golfers and supporters of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra can spend the morning playing golf on one of the Midwest’s most exclusive and beautiful private courses. The History of the Alhambra Theater
May 22. Willard Library, 21 First Ave. The Alhambra Theater, Evansville’s first theater to feature “talking” pictures opened in September 1913 with an admission price of a nickel for an entire day’s worth of movies. Andy Jeffries, a University of Southern Indiana graduate and expert on the theater, will present his research, which includes personal recollections of the theater from people in the Haynie’s Corner neighborhood who patronized it. 7 p.m. Free. Wii Sports Challenge
May 24. Koch Family Children’s Museum, 22 S.E. Fifth St. Immerse yourself in the gaming wave sweeping the nation, the Wii, the fifth home video game console released by Nintendo. The Wii requires physical movements with the controllers to simulate the actions made by characters in the game. 1 p.m. $6.(812) 464-2663.

Annual Home Run Sweepstakes Open House
May 25. Home located at 12410 Canyon Rock Drive. The culmination of months of work from those at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center and Eagle Construction, Inc., is a dream home – ENERGY-STAR rated for the first time ever – raffled off on $100 a ticket chances. The winner can pick the brand new home or $100,000 in cash. All proceeds support the services offered by the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center. $100 a ticket.
