Kallenbach Concert Series
June 10. St. John’s United Church of Christ-East. 7000 Lincoln Ave. A combination of top-notch talents – singer Gina Moore, soprano Jennifer Korba, and the Chancel Choir come together for a performance of the Kallenbach Concert Series, an ongoing series at St. John’s East UCC for about 10 years and funded by the Melvin and Masel Kallenbach Foundation. 7 p.m. Free. Museum Camp 2008
June 9-13. Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science, 411 S.E. Riverside Drive. This summer’s Museum Camp focuses on the cultural diversity in Indiana and is designed for children who will be entering grades two through six in the fall. This program, presented in partnership with the Macy’s Fund of the Federated Department Stores Foundation, is limited to 50 children. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Museum members, $110 per child; non-members, $130 per child. International Mystery Writers’ Festival
June 12-22. RiverPark Center in Owensboro, Ky. For mystery lovers, there may be no better place on Earth this June than the RiverPark Center when it plays host a festival celebrating the thrills and chills of great suspense. The International Mystery Writers’ Festival has won national acclaim for its Discover New Mysteries – a series of plays, screenplays, and short stories professionally performed, published, or produced for the first time. Festival-goers are in for treat this year with the the United States’ premiere of Agatha Christie’s long-lost play “Chimneys.” Ticket prices for the festival performances range from $9.95 to $29.95. 16th Annual Mystery Event
June 13. Reitz Home Museum, 224 SE First St. Test your inner Sherlock Holmes as the Reitz Home Museum and local celebrities present a mystery starring the late, great Evansville Mayor Benjamin Bosse and his fascinating friends. New Harmony Theatre Gala

cMoe Discovery Dash 2008
June 14. Harrison High School. A day of friendly competition, this children’s foot and wheelchair race makes everyone a winner. Children are divided into age groups for the event and there is a medal for every participant. American Diabetes Association Gala
June 14. Tri-State Aero. This year’s gala event will be celebrated with the theme, “Take Flight to Fight Diabetes.” It’s fitting then, that the festivities will unfold in a private hangar at the Evansville airport, where guests will be “transported” back to the days of vintage planes and feast on a banquet of the finest fare from around the world. Proceeds from the evening go to fund research to find a cure for a disease that affects more than 20 million children and adults in the United States. Tickets are $75.
