Jasper Community Arts with support from Keusch Glass Inc. is pleased to present the work of former Jasper native now residing in Philadelphia, PA, Stacey Lee Webber, on display for the months of August and September at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center. Webber has exhibited her work around the world including the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in the Republic of Korea, Gallery Okariya in Tokyo, and Sophie Lachaert Gallery in Belgium.

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science is featuring an exhibit by Gary Zuercher, award winning photographer and author of 'The Glow of Paris: The Bridges of Paris, from Aug. 25 through Nov. 7. The 'Glow of Paris' exhibition features 86 silver gelatin, black and white photographs from the book accompanied by maps showing the Seine River bridge locations, discussions of the bridge histories, story panels, a four-minute video and cell phone audio tour through the exhibit.

Hang out with a real dinosaur, help create the newest EVPL libarary card design, and share your stories and memories of EVPL all month long.

On Monday, September 20, join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana for their 9th Annual Golf for Kids' Sake event at Cambridge Golf Course. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with shotgun starting at 12 p.m. The cost is $500 per foursome or $125 per person.

Blues Traveler are coming to the Victory Theatre Sept. 21. Blues Traveler has made every boyhood rock ‘n’ roll dream come true. They burst onto the scene with a trio of gold-selling albums—Blues Traveler (1990), Travelers and Thieves (1991), and Save His Soul (1993).

The Audubon State Park will be filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of an arts and crafts festival again this fall after being canceled due to the pandemic in 2020. Enjoy a variety of arts and crafts from more than a hundred vendors across the Tri-State. Bring your friends and family for a day of relaxing and check out some of the most enjoyable artisans and craftspeople showing off their wares.

The Half Marathon is the third race in the Series of Races, you can earn two medals if you participate in the entire Series and the Half! The route takes you through Downtown, parks, Greenway, and finishes along the riverfront where you will receive your finisher medal.

 This race shares the same start line and finish line as the Evansville Half Marathon. It is a great option for all athletes and families to train for. Our 4.97-mile route leads through Downtown Evansville and finishes along the riverfront where you will receive your finisher medal.

 Local goods for sale as well as inflatables, fire trucks, face painting, pioneer demos, crafts, trivia games, and more! Activities will follow the State’s guidance for event planning, including social distancing, mask requirements, handwashing and sanitizing of program materials.

The free ParksFest Music Festival returns to Garvin Park with food and drink vendors, a beer garden, and a lineup of live music.

Members of the Islamic Society of Evansville cook up specialties from all over the world to benefit the Tri-State Food Bank. Visitors can enjoy foods like shish-kebab, falafel, chicken biryani, and babaganoush; get henna tattoos; shop in the bazaar; have their names written in Arabic calligraphy; tour the mosque; and ask questions about Islam.

Evansville African American Museum's 13th annual Gala will be held Oct. 9 from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. at the Tropicana Riverfront Event Center. In 2012, Lyles Station Historic School & Museum received a grant from the Old National Bank Foundation to assemble two trunks containing books and hands on items focused on educating students about slavery and the Civil War. Those trunks have been lent out, free of charge, to many teachers, traveled many miles and continue to help educate children today.
