Every day ordinary people make extraordinary contributions by putting their needs aside to help others in our community. Many of these people go unrecognized for their courageous acts. Now is your chance to honor them.

The American Red Cross is honored to salute these heroes. We are seeking nominations for the Annual Heroes Awards. Nominees must have made a difference in the lives of others through a singular act of extraordinary heroism, or through their continued commitment to putting others first. Your hero might be a lifeguard who saved a drowning child, or an ordinary citizen who performed CPR when a stranger collapsed.

The submission deadline is Feb. 21.
