An old-fashioned summer social with food and music located on the banks of the Ohio River. Street closes at 5 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Rain date scheduled July 5. Parking will be available at the First Presbyterian Church, Peoples Trust and Saving Bank, and the Newburgh Elementary School. The WATS buses will transport people to the event all evning starting at 5 p.m.
A boat parad will gather in the water in front of Muzler Crushed Stone at 6 p.m. and will be led by the Newburgh Police Department boat along the riverfront and the Old Lock and Dam Park. The Old Dam Band will begin their annual community community concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., the American Legion Color Guard will present the flag for the flag raising ceremony, a proclamation will be read, and the national antehm sung. The sky will light up with fireworks starting at approximately 9 p.m.
