During the World-wide Knit in Public Day, community knitters will be knit bombing the Newburgh waterfront railing in front of Ben and Penny’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shop. Knitters are asked to knit yarn bombing strips to contribute to this public art project. The effort will take place during the Historic Newburgh Farmers Market and the Rollin’-on the River Cars and Coffee Cruise-in. Contact Jennifer or Bettye at Sheepskins Yarn Shop if you are interested in participating.
Participants are asked to knit 15 strips measuring 3.5 inches wide by 28 inches long with a 36-inch tail for attaching. Bring your strips and tapestry needle.
