The Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association, a nonprofit organization with more than 400 active area members trained through the Purdue Extension Service, will host the Ohio Valley Garden Conference. The conference, for the public, will feature frequent HGTV guest Kerry Ann Mendez of Perennially Yours, speaking on Gardening Simplified for Changing Lifestyles and Proven Winners for 2015. Other topics and speakers include Susan Day of Daybreak Sanctuary speaking on Habitats for Backyard Wildlife; Marilyn Miller of Apple House on New Ornamental Vegetables/ Beauty in the Garden; Paul Bouseman on Plant Selections for Water-Wise Gardeners; and Evansville’s Purdue Extension Educator, Larry Caplan, on Effects of Climate Change on Tri-State Gardens.
