The Pennyrile Group of the Sierra club is hosting a series of events to celebrate Earth Week. Two tree-planting events will be help April 22; the first at Kentucky Wesleyan College at 11 a.m. and the second at Owensboro Catholic High School at 3 p.m.

A brown-bag lunch will be held at noon at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. Lunch will include a presentation by Alan Drake describing "Practical Ways to Save Energy."
