The University of Southern Indiana’s Tri-State Science and Engineering Fair for students in grades K-12 will be held Thursday and Friday, March 12-13, 2015, in the Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center on campus.
This fair has been an annual event at USI since 2007. Registration is open to students in grades k-12 from schools within a 75-mile radius. The deadline for Senior Division online registration and paperwork submission is Friday, February 6 and Friday, February 20th for Junior and Elementary divisions. Students may enter their projects in one of 11 categories including animal sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, engineering, mathematical and computer sciences, microbiology and molecular biology, plant sciences, behavioral and social sciences, earth and space sciences, environmental sciences, medicine and health sciences, and physics.
Students will set-up their projects on Thursday, March 12 from 12:00 to 4 p.m. Judging will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Volunteers interested in judging any of the categories are invited to register by February 13. The event will be open for free public admission 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 13. The awards ceremony will be help on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions Building.
