Smith & Butterfield will celebrate its 150 years of business in Evansville with an open house May 10. An Anniversary Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting will be held at 12:30 p.m.

The beginning of Smith & Butterfield occurred at the end of the Civil War in 1866 and this business has survived the Great Depression, two World Wars, two company fires, and the 2008 recession.
