The first annual Spirit Crusher Survival Race will start at 7 a.m. at Angel Mounds, where the race bell will ring and 100 runners will begin their journey toward greatness. Each runner will have exactly one hour to complete the 4.25 mile trail run. Then at 8 a.m., the runners will have an hour to complete it again, then again at 9 a.m. and so on. The catch is to complete each lap in one hour or less to be eligible to start the next round. 

The group will race until one runner remains. The race is not over until there is only one runner left. 

Water will be available at race control and each runner will have space for a support team and set up. The trails will remain open to the public but marked for the race. As night approaches, runners will be required to provide lights for safe passage.
