St. Philip Church in Mount Vernon, Indiana, hosts its summer social this year Aug. 13 and 14. Pork chop dinner servings are from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday with fired chicken dinners served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Dinners are served in the air-conditioned cafeteria, with drive-thru available both days.

The two-day event also features sandwiches, ice cream, pizza, bingo, paddle wheel, pull tabs, a big raffle, inflatables, special raffles, themed baskets, quilts, children’s games, and more.
