Arcadia is produced by D’Alto’s Last Minute Production Company
Directed by Ashley Frary , featuring a cast of community actors from Evansville and surrounding area.
Written by Tom Stoppard in 1993, Arcadia is a play that can truly be described in one word: timeless. Set in both the present time and early 19th century England, the story weaves its way through history, art, literature, science, and mathematics, but its true beauty lies in its humanity. Arcadia blends witty humor with real and even surprising emotion.
Tom Stoppard has produced works for radio, television, film and stage. He co-wrote the screenplays for Brazil, The Russia House, and Shakespeare in Love, and received an Academy Award and four Tony Awards. Plays include Arcadia, The Coast of Utopia, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, Professional Foul, The Real Thing, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
