UE’s Coffee Hour – Catherine Tufariello

Join students, faculty, and friends of the University of Evansville’s Department of Creative Writing for coffee and cookies as celebrated authors read their published works. The authors will be available afterward for conversation and book signings.

Catherine Tufariello is poet-in-residence at Christ College, the honors college of Valparaiso University, where she teaches a seminar in poetic craft. She is the author of two poetry chapbooks (Annunciations and Free Time) and a full-length collection, Keeping My Name (Texas Tech University Press), which won the 2006 Poets’ Prize and was a Booklist Editor’s Choice. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, The Hudson Review, The New Penguin Book of Love Poetry, Western Wind, Contemporary American Poetry, 250 Poems, The Cento, Irresistible Sonnets, and the broadside series Poetry by Post.

After earning her PhD from Cornell University, Catherine taught literature and writing at a number of colleges and universities before settling in Indiana and teaching at Valparaiso University.
