The University of Evansville College of Engineering and Computer Science presents Engineering Options for High School Girls June 12 through June 17.
High school girls currently in grades 9, 10, or 11 who have completed geometry are invited to attend. This career exploration program is a week-long residential opportunity where college-aged women studying in the fields of engineering counsel high school girls interested in the field. Professors teach classes that culminate in hands-on projects, field trips offer a look at engineering careers in action, and participants will have interaction with women mentors who work in engineering fields.
Those attending will prepare and present a closing program for parents, which will provide experience in public speaking and thought organization. Cost, which is all inclusive, is $500 per participant. For more information and to obtain an application, call or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
