The Henderson County Public Library Genealogy Department will decorate an authentic Victorian Christmas tree Monday, Dec. 7. The public is invited to deck the halls and learn more about the history behind our favorite Christmas traditions.

Sue Berry and the United Daughters of the Confederacy will discuss Victorian customs and how they relate to our current celebrations. Participants will assist in decorating a tree with items available during that time period, such as ribbon, oranges, popcorn garland, dried floers, and more.
