Bluegrass Music Academy

The Blue Grass Music Hall of Fame & Museum will offer bluegrass music lessons to area students, from beginners to advanced. Funding for the program is made possible through grants and funding from the Kentucky Arts Council and the Michael E. Horn Family Foundation. Registration is $95 and reduced to $55 for each additional family member who participates. Students who complete the program will get to play at the ROMP Festival on June 24. They will also receive a t-shirt and complimentary tickets for the student and three guests to ROMP. Instruments are also available on loan while supplies last for $50 an instrument.

Lessons are held every other Saturday and are 45 minutes long.

10 a.m. – Beginner Fiddle, Guitar, or Mandolin (ages 8-11)

11 a.m. – Beginner Fiddle, Guitar, or Mandonin (ages 12 and above)

12 p.m. – Beginner Plus Fiddle, Guitar, or Mandolin (ages 8 and above)

1 p.m. – Intermediate Fiddle, Guitar, or Mandolin (ages 8 and above)

2 p.m. – Beginner Banjo (ages 12 and over)

2 p.m. – Band Class All Instruments (ages 8 and above)
