Program to Recall Historic Tri-State Tornado

Memorialize the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Tri-State tornado on March 18, 1925, that tore through Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Southwestern Indiana. Six hundred and ninety-five people died while more than 2,000 were injured over the F5 tornado’s 219-mile path. Author Justin Harter also will talk about his 2024 book, “The Great Tri-State Tornado.” This program takes place in conjunction with the Tri-State Tornado: Tragedy and Resilience exhibit at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science, which runs through July 6, 2025.
