Sip suds at Kentucky Lake’s Old Beach Beer Bash

The Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to host the second annual Old Beach Beer Bash on Kentucky Lake. The craft beer festival will take place at the nostalgic old beach at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park on July 29.

“It has been a goal of mine since becoming director to work toward creating new events here at Kentucky Lake, and I am very excited to bring this event back to Kentucky Lake and continue building upon our success in 2022,” Kentucky Lake CVB Executive Director Elena Blevins says. “I think it’s a great fit for our lake-loving visitors and locals alike. I love the nostalgic feel this event has taking place at the old beach. It’s going to bring back so many memories for people. We invite guests to come and taste their way through the evening with a selection of 100 different kinds of craft beer, ciders, wines, seltzers and a few bourbons, too.”

Attendees can expect an evening of live music from Solid Rocket Boosters, craft brews, and other activities from 4-8 p.m. Food will be for sale at the event. Tickets are on pre-sale online, along with a limited number of $50 VIP tickets, which include entry one hour early and a meal voucher for one of the food trucks onsite.

Holders of $40 general admission tickets will receive a souvenir tasting glass to peruse their way through a variety of styles of beer, from porters and stouts to blonde ales, pale ales, IPAs, and the best summer seasonal sipping. The Kentucky Lake CVB asks everyone to drink responsibly. Designated driver tickets are available for $10 and include admission to the event and free bottled water.

This event is strictly for people 21 and over and will happen rain or shine. No pets, except for service animals, will be allowed in the event area.

“We at the Dam Brewhaus are thrilled to be participating in the second annual Old Beach Beer Bash event,” says Jeff Swatzell, co-owner of Dam Brewhaus in Benton, Kentucky. “Not long ago, we opened our doors as the first, and still only, micro-brewery in Marshall County and have watched the craft beer scene explode throughout our area by the support and collaboration of this amazing community. It’s our pleasure to participate and support the Old Beach Beer Fest vision in this local event while bolstering tourism.”

Purchase tickets online on the Kentucky Lake CVB’s Facebook event page, Old Beach Beer Bash, or on our website www.visitkylake.com under the “Can’t Miss” tab.

Leading up to the event, be sure to check the Kentucky CVB’s Facebook for updates and pre-sale ticket locations. If you are interested in sponsoring the event or have general questions, contact the Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau by calling 270-527-3128 or emailing fun@kentuckylake.org.
