Retired after a career teaching art, Janet Craig remains an artist at heart, and she admires the design and photography found in each issue of Evansville Living.
That’s been the case since she began subscribing in 2000, the year Evansville Living launched. Craig grew up in the River City and moved back in 1995 after living in Chicago and Peoria, Illinois, for nearly 20 years. “I just wasn’t feeling connected,” she recalls. “I thought (reading Evansville Living) would be a good opportunity to find out what was going on in the community and get in the spirit.”
Those memories were rekindled in March when Publisher & Editor Kristen K. Tucker gave a presentation to the Evansville Retired Teachers Association, of which Craig is president-elect. Craig says Tucker’s talk was well-received and a reminder of how Evansville Living continues to be a valuable local information source for many readers, herself included.
And, recalling her artist roots, the magazine’s visual elements are “top-notch,” Craig adds. “It’s very eye-appealing.”
