Meet Taylor Ayers

Introducing Taylor Ayers, Tucker Publishing Group, Inc.’s new Sales and Marketing Coordinator! An Evansville native and Benjamin Bosse High School graduate, Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising in 2022 from the University of Southern Indiana. She launched her career in 2022 as a social media and marketing specialist for Media Mix before joining TPG in June 2026.

You’re a Bulldog and a Screaming Eagle! Share with us a favorite memory from attending Bosse and USI.

My favorite memory from high school was taking a journalism class where I had the opportunity to help design the school yearbook. I loved the creative process of planning layouts, selecting content, and bringing stories to life through design. That experience was the moment I realized I wanted to pursue a career in the creative, advertising, and marketing field!

What community groups are you involved with?

I serve as the Social Media Chair for E-REP’s Young Professionals Alliance, where I help promote events, initiatives, and engagement through social media. I also serve as the Co-Chair for Habitat for Humanity’s Young Professionals of Evansville group, helping lead efforts to connect young professionals and support Habitat’s mission.

What has surprised you so far about the magazine industry?

What has surprised me most is how much strategy and collaboration go into every issue. It’s been interesting to see how many moving pieces come together behind the scenes to create a publication that both informs readers and supports local businesses.

What do you enjoy most about specializing in social media and marketing?

The combination of creativity and community. I am a perfectionist, which pushes me to create high-quality, thoughtful content. I enjoy connecting with audiences, understanding what resonates with them, and continuously adapting strategies to build meaningful engagement and growth.

Tell us something you think people misunderstand or don’t know about social media.

One thing people often misunderstand about social media is how easy it looks from the outside. In reality, effective social media strategy requires much more than just posting content. It involves understanding audience behavior, analyzing performance data, and adapting quickly to platform changes. There’s also a strategic layer — planning campaigns, aligning content with business goals, and driving measurable results.

What are your hobbies?

Trying new restaurants, DIY projects, and online shopping.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?

I really want to visit Italy! It brings together great food, beautiful scenery, and architectural aesthetics.

What is one specific experience in life that you want to have?

I want to go on a solo trip somewhere! I’ve never really traveled by myself, but I’m excited by the idea of stepping outside my comfort zone and experiencing something new on my own terms.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

I recently became an aunt! It has been one of my favorite things in life so far, seeing my sister bring life to this world and getting to experience something new with my family!
