Kerry Chesser, owner of KC’s Timeout Lounge, located in front of Washington Square Mall on South Green River Road, plans to open a tavern serving food on Franklin Street. Named Franklinsteins, its planned location will be in the former Bud’s Harley Davidson building. Plans are underway for a new restaurant on Main Street Downtown called Gangnam Korean Cuisine. Joseph Kim, former owner of Ninki Japanese Bistro in Newburgh, Indiana, is behind the new dining location and says the restaurant will have a large menu centered on fine cultural Korean dining and traditions of Korean cuisine. He also plans to open Gangnam Korean BBQ at 3332 Villa Point No. 102, Owensboro, KY. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is planning a second area location in Evansville. A Tampa-based chain, the sports-themed restaurant and bar has a spot at 8177 Bell Oaks Drive, Newburgh, IN. MOD Pizza currently is renovating a space in the Evansville Pavilion shopping center for a new restaurant. A fast-causal chain founded in Bellevue, Washington, the Evansville location will offer individual, artisan style pizzas in three sizes with 10 classic pizzas, a pizza salad, and a seasonal pizza. Bru Burger, located in the former Greyhound Station at the corner of Sycamore and Third streets, is set to open Nov. 21. The restaurant, owned by the Cunningham Restaurant Group, features burgers, salads, appetizers and shareable sides, other sandwiches, and desserts. Culver’s will open a West Side location at 4850 W. Lloyd Expressway in the former Steak ‘N Shake. The restaurant is projected to open in mid-2017. Culver’s currently has one East Side location off North Burkhardt Road. The Dapper Pig, 1112 Parrett St., announced the return of lunch hours beginning Nov. 4. The new hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Eclipse Bistro, Tapas, & More, 113 S.E. Fourth St., is now closed. Wilson’s General Store & Café, 11120 Broadway Ave., has closed. Owner Tim Wilson says he will continue to focus on creating and marketing his barbecue sauce line, Wilson’s.
