Ready, Set, Go!

If you’ve already forgotten your New Year’s Resolution, now is the time to get back on track!

The YMCA indoor triathlon offers a unique spin on the traditional triathlon. This Sunday beginning at 5 a.m., participants will compete based on distance completed within an allotted time frame, racing against athletes of all ages and overall placement. COVID-19 precautions will be taken during this event.

The race is available in three formats — sprint, endurance, and duathlon. The sprint format includes a 30-minute swim and stationary bike ride, and a 15-minute run on the treadmill. The endurance format includes an hour-long swim and stationary bike ride, and a 30-minute run on the treadmill. The duathlon format includes a 30-minute run on the treadmill and 15-minute stationary bike ride.

The sprint and endurance format will take place at the Ascension St. Vincent YMCA, while the duathlon format will take place at the Dunigan YMCA location.

Registration is required and limited to the first 56 participants. Cost is $30 per person and $35 per person for the endurance format. Participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their start time.

All runners will receive a finisher’s gift and trophies will be presented to the top three overall men and women finishers for each format.

You can register for the triathlon here.
