Saving the Arts

As we highlighted in the March/April issue of Evansville Living, the arts have felt the hard impact of the pandemic with many artists finding themselves at home with no shows or performances to complete.

To help these artists get back on their feet after suffering losses due to the pandemic, the Lawndale Supper Club will host a fundraising benefit for four community theatres at Evansville’s East Side Lawndale Shopping Plaza on Saturdays and Sundays from April 17 to May 9 starting at 11:30 a.m. The four theatres are Evansville Civic Theatre, STAGEtwo Productions, Children’s Theatre of Southern Indiana, and Newburgh Community Theatre.

Each weekend will focus on a different theater in their fundraising efforts and the Supper Club will offer a variety of food trucks and local entertainment including Jayson Munoz Catering, Jeanne’s Gelato on the Go, La Plaza Mexican Food, Hot Diggity Dogs, Diva’s Cookin’, S&S BBQ, and Queen B’s Cuisine.

Each food truck will donate a portion of their sales to each theater and there will also be donation buckets for customers who may wish to donate.

Help our local performing arts theaters by stopping by for some lunch each weekend for the next month!
