St. Patrick’s Day Brews and Stews

This year’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities are in full swing, and Evansville has no shortage of places to celebrate. Breweries, taverns, pubs, and bars across the city are serving up specialty drinks this week in honor of St. Patty. Try your “luck” with some of these cocktails and brews.

Myriad Brewing Company’s "Green 812"

101 S.E. First St., Ste 1

Stop by Myriad Brewing Company’s St. Patrick’s Day event and try its “812” cream ale, poured from an entire keg dyed green. The Green 812 is one of Myriad’s lighter beers and is easy to drink, so even those who are new to craft beer will want to give this a sip. Enjoy your Green 812 with a special Irish menu served by Pappa Bear’s Catering from Dewig Meats in Haubstadt, Indiana.

Damsel Brew Pub’s "Pat"

209 N. Wabash Ave.

Damsel Brew Pub is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with classic Irish food and drinks. On tap is Damsel’s house-made Irish red ale “Pat,” an amber-colored beer with caramel sweetness, better than anything you could find at the end of the rainbow. Damsel Brew Pub will also have Guinness pints and pitchers on tap and $5 specials on shots of Irish whiskey such as Jameson and Proper 12. Complete your celebration with a meal of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes for $14.99.

Knob Hill Tavern’s Green Beer Fishbowls and Irish Feast

1016 IN-662W, Newburgh, IN

Head to Newburgh, Indiana, to grab some famous St. Patrick’s Day favorites at Knob Hill Tavern. Try an Irish Carbomb —a shot of Irish cream and Jameson dropped into a glass of Guinness — or play it safe with a cold fishbowl of green-colored beer. Knob Hill Tavern will also be offering a full Irish feast including corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes, Irish potato soup, and Guinness chocolate cake.

Bokeh Lounge’s Jell-O Shots and Traditional Recipes

1007 Parrett St.

Enjoy some St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans at Bokeh Lounge at its annual St. Patty’s Day Celebration in Haynie’s Corner Arts District. Green cherry limeade Jell-O shots, Irish Carbombs, and Guinness are on the menu along with Irish stew and Shepherd’s pie made from recipes from The Pub, Larry “Bubbles” Pollock’s former restaurant at 1348 E. Division St. Enjoy live music by Lindsey Williams and the David Dunavent Band and buy a raffle ticket; all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Evansville nonprofit The Potter’s Wheel & Patchwork Central.
