(Updated June 8, 2010)
This spring, Evansville Living magazine once again earned a national nomination for the City and Regional Magazine Awards. Last year’s City View, our annual visitors’ and relocation guide, is among other publications praised at the 2010 awards ceremony held June 7 in Rhode Island.
City View competed in the ancillary publications category against magazines produced by Berkshire Living in Massachusetts; Inside Columbia in Missouri; and Martha’s Vineyard Magazine in Massachusetts. The category is one of 29, and Evansville Living has won several awards from CRMA in the past few years.
In 2008, we took home a silver award for Ancillary Publications 1 for City View 2007 and the bronze award in the multi-media extensions category. In 2007, we won the gold award for multi-media extensions and a gold for community service. In 2006, our July/August 2006 cover earned a bronze award in the cover category in which regional magazine Texas Monthly won the gold and Los Angeles magazine had the silver.
Evansville Living is proud to have been named a finalist in the ancillary publications category. This year, our peers at Berkshire Living won for their Berkshire Business Quarterly, and we offer them a well-deserved congratulations.
“While our most important measure of success is the affirmation we receive from readers that our magazines are a necessary part of the community, we again are thrilled to receive national recognition for City View,” says Kristen K. Tucker, publisher and editor. “The high quality standards for content and design upheld by the judges of the CRMA competition help our staff strive to improve our magazines constantly.”
