The Upgrade Café, (300 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN) has opened in the Livewell Building. The café will be serving healthy organic juices, protein shakes, smoothies, coffee, and tea. East Penny Lane Coffeehouse and Pub, (2004 Washington Ave.) has opened near the Washington and S. Weinbach Ave. intersection. The coffeehouse grinds out coffee, latte’s, organic smoothies, baked goods, lunch specials, and live music. Memphis on Main BBQ (118 W. Locust St.) has opened a section location in Boonville, Ind. Unlike its Newburgh location, which is all carry-out and delivery, the restaurant will be a full-service eatery.

Greek’s Pizzeria (240 S. Green River Road) now offers breakfast from Inlumi Café & Bakery, which recently closed its doors. Cleavers (5501 E. Indiana St.) now offers breakfast 7-11 a.m. seven days a week. The restaurant previously served breakfast only on Saturdays and Sundays. Just Rennie’s (100 S.E. Fourth St.) has opened its Fourth Street deli with extended hours and offerings. The restaurant will extend its hours from 3-4 p.m. Mon.-Fri., and offers assorted deli sandwiches, wraps, Panini sandwiches, healthy salads, Just Rennie’s cookies, gourmet cookie bars, and Gourmet Panache Coffee. La Cabana Mexican Restaurant (821 S. Green River Road) now offers a family style menu options with portions large enough to share.
Dearly Departed:
Maxine’s Café and Bakery (1322 N. Green River Road) has closed. But the silver lining is its former pastry chef, Terry Spindler, has been hired at Just Rennie’s (100 S.E. Fourth St.) as a pastry chef. The restaurant promises an array of new exciting cakes and pastries that will be created by Spindler.
Roly Poly Sandwiches (5702 E. Virginia St.) recently closed its doors.
