A new Los Bravos location has opened next door to the new VA Outpatient Clinic in Waterford Park off N. Burkhardt Road. Pappy and Grammy’s Kettle Corn has opened a storefront location at the corner of Division Street and Morton Avenue. Brick Pizzeria, 101 N.W. First Street, Ste. 114, is now open, serving calzones, homemade pasta dishes, hand tossed pizza, and “famous” Brickbolli. Savannah’s Café is now open at 1802 Stringtown Road. It is a family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with daily plate lunches and homemade cakes and pies available.

Shyler’s BBQ is remodeling an existing restaurant into its new location, which will be located in Village Commons, E. Indiana Street, near Gander Mountain on Evansville’s East Side. The new location opens in September. Tropicana Evansville announced Chido Mexican Bar & Grill is coming to the Waterfront Entertainment District. The restaurant will serve “mission-style” monster burritos, rice bowls, salads, and signature Chido fish tacos. Carson’s Brewery, 2404 Lynch Road, welcomes The Duffy Shuffle food truck to the brewery every Friday and Saturday evening during the summer. Sweet Bettys Bakery, 5600 E. Virginia St., is adding ice cream by the scoop to its menu. For more information, see “Good Eats” on page 134. Just Cookies located in Washington Square Mall is for sale as Tim Phillips, the owner, is retiring. A new restaurant called Herradura Restaurant is set to remodel and open in the former Sirloin Stockade location, 4610 Bellemeade Ave. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers broke ground directly in front of Menards off N. Green River Road. It is expected to open this fall, offering a variety of options such as lean-beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries, as well as a large assortment of dessert treats with freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard. The Downtown Evansville Farmers Market will offer a Tuesday evening market from 3 to 6 p.m. starting July 7. Eclipse Bistro, Tapas & More, 133-A S.E. Fourth St., is offering new summer tapas, raciones, and wines. Azzip Pizza has announced they will open a new location at 2121 N. Green River Road, across from Cheddar’s. The projected opening will be in late August.

The Great American Bagel, 3910 E. Morgan Ave., has closed. Sandy’s Cakes & Candies, 2301 W. Franklin St., recently closed its doors. Big Mama’s Café, 1802 Stringtown Road, is now closed.
