Papa T’s Tamales food stand has opened and frequents various spots along Franklin Street. You can get fresh tamales and nachos with different topping choices. Zaxby’s, 1021 N. Burkhardt Road, has opened on Evansville’s East Side. Yang’s Shabu Shabu, 4700 Vogel Road, opened in May. Randall’s Pizzeria, 1211 Tutor Lane, opened in April and serves “Hoosier-style gourmet brick oven pizza.” The Evansville Brewhouse, 56 Adams Ave., a nano-brewery, has opened in Haynie’s Corner. The brewhouse specializes in craft ale beers made in-house and also stocks different local wineries. Ben’s Soft Pretzels, 2622 Menards Drive, opened at the end of June. The restaurant is located inside Meijer and serves jumbo pretzels, pretzel bites, stix, all-beef hot dogs, and pretzel pockets with 11 different dipping sauces. Philly Grill, 600 E. Boonville New Harmony Road, Ste. D, is now open. The restaurant features Philly cheese steaks made-to-order, wraps, hot dogs, burgers, and grilled chicken sandwiches, wings, and salads.

St. Benedict’s Brew Works, a craft brewery in Ferdinand, Indiana, is partnering with the U.S. Park Service and the Lincoln Boyhood Memorial to present Abraham Lincoln-inspired beers. Jules Specialty Grocery & Gift Shop, 204 Main St., is temporarily closed due to a fire. Spudz N Stuff is seeking a new location Downtown after recent maintenance issues in its location on Northwest First Street next to the Old Post Office forced the restaurant to close. Customers are invited to visit other Spudz N Stuff locations on Evansville’s West Side, North Side, and East Side, in Newburgh, Indiana, and in Henderson, Kentucky. The Dapper Pig, 1112 Parrett St., has changed their serving hours. The restaurant in Haynie’s Corner is now open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Twilight Bistro, 221 Main St., suffered damage in a fire June 24. The business is closed until damage can be assessed and repaired.

Taste of India, 4700 Vogel Road, has closed. The location is now Yang’s Shabu Shabu. Mandarin Garden, 2013 N. Green River Road, has closed and is now home to Big Bang Mongolian Grill. Pop’s Grill, 516 Main St., New Harmony, IN, has closed. The Coffee Cottage & Café, 612 S. Weinbach Ave., recently closed its doors. Mama Roma’s location at 3904 N. First Ave. is now closed.
