We’re saying “thank you very much” to Domo Japanese Hibachi Grill, Sushi, and Ramen for serving delicious lunch and dinner time specials to the Tri-State for the past two years.
The locally owned restaurant recently reopened on April 8 in its new location at 215 North Green River Road. Since it’s open for lunch every day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (open for dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday), we decided to pick up one of their lunch special bento boxes.
Domo offers sushi bento lunches and regular bento lunches for $11 each. Bento boxes are also available in dinner sizes for $20. Our bento — a staple Japanese single-portion meal served with rice and a variety of extras in an organized container — was the teriyaki chicken box.
Tender, seasoned cuts of chicken glazed with a sweet teriyaki sauce were accompanied by soft white rice, a crisp salad, hearty egg roll, and additional sauce. Bento lunches can come with fried rice instead of steamed and crab rangoon instead of an egg roll, and they include a side of miso soup.
While a compact, fulfilling take-out meal was our lunch break go-to, Domo caters to every type of diner. Order carry-out, dine in, or take a seat at its new hibachi grills any time during operating hours.
