We love our morning coffee and doughnuts, and there are plenty of places for us to get our fix. On Feb. 14, a new contender, Dunkin’ Donuts, opened up at 3960 N. First Ave., returning the national chain to Evansville for the first time in several years.
Since then, Dunkin’ Donuts has seen countless customers come through the door for a taste of everything from coffee to baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Other offerings include hot tea and espresso. However, owner and manager Nick Patel says 45 percent of customers come for the doughnuts.
“It’s been pretty busy,” he says.
Patel relocated to Evansville to open the store because there was room for expansion. He hopes to have a few more locations open up in the Tri-State in the coming years to reach as many residents as possible. But for now, Patel says customers on the North Side are happy to have a Dunkin’ Donuts.
“We’re doing great over here,” says Patel. “We’re really excited to be here.”
