Christopher Bailey was raised in Evansville, but it was only the first of many stops for the North High School graduate, who reflects that โwhen one door closes, another one opens.โ
The most recent door was one his wife, Sarah, first knocked on 14 years ago. The idea came to her in 2010 for a song called โGutsy Girl in Tights,โ which evolved into the theme of the duoโs independently produced web miniseries, โIncognitaโs Infamous Adventures.โ
A.J. Pazeski (played by Sarah) is a superhero struggling to make it big, working an office job where she meets and falls in love with Adam (played by Christopher). Adam, though, lives a double life as a supervillain known as Baddio. Under a score of 13 original pop songs, A.J. is forced to reclaim her own alternate identity as the crime-fighting superhero Incognita. The Baileys wrote, cast, produced, and acted in the miniseries.
The couple โ who are music instructors at Nashville, Tennesseeโs Lipscomb University โ debuted their creation at the 2021 Orlando Film Festival and collected the award for Best Web Series.
Amazonโs Prime Video picked up the project in 2022. Soon, the first season also will stream on the platforms of film production company Zombie Orpheus Entertainment, as pre-production begins for Season 2.
โWhen I think about how much work, how many hours, and how many years go into the possibility of this occurring and then being given the opportunity to share it with people โ itโs really quite special,โ Christopher says.
