The Season for Giving

Evansville has nonprofit groups too numerous to name, which becomes more apparent during the giving season. We curated a list of some of the city’s foundations, started by leaders of our community and not affiliated with larger national organizations, to give the gift of giving back.

Children’s Causes

Youth First, Inc. strengthens the lives of youth through prevention programs and social workers placed in area schools.

Now in its 70th year, Santa Clothes Club gathers clothing for 2,500 Tri-State children annually.

The Dream Center provides children in the Jacobsville community with afterschool educational and recreational programs.

Housing and Homelessness

ECHO Housing Corporation fights against homelessness through housing and support services.

Community One, Inc. addresses housing restoration needs in the region.

The JD Sheth Foundation builds homes in Guatemala, India, and the Philippines, and works in Evansville.

Disability Awareness and Resources

The Arc of Evansville empowers individuals with disabilities to build relationships and become more independent.

Jacob’s Village, Inc. provides a place where those with disabilities can foster relationships and live affordably.

All-Encompassing Mission

Both the Men’s and Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County focus on creating positive social change in the community.
