Two Birds, One Flurry

Zesto on Franklin (102 W. Franklin St.), the second location of the walk-up burger and ice cream stand Zesto’s Drive-Thru, is known for traditional burgers, classic fried snacks, and creative flavors of flurries (ice cream with toppings mixed in). On Oct. 25, the eatery debuted its newest flurry.

Called the “GaylaCake Flurry,” the dessert is a smooth concoction of chocolate and yellow cake crumbles with cream cheese icing from GaylaCake (320 N. Main St.) mixed into soft serve vanilla ice cream.

An ice cream treat with just the right amount of sweetness, the flurry is light and satisfying even on a chilly November day.

“This Zesto flurry is creamy and delicious,” says Evansville Living Staff Writer Riley Guerzini. “The cake chunks from GaylaCake really enhances the flavor.”

The GaylaCake Flurry isn’t listed as a seasonal item, and Zesto didn’t announce how long it will appear on its menu board, so it’s best not to wait to try one. Get yours in a small ($3.50), medium ($4.50), or large ($5.25) from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday while the GaylaCake Flurry lasts.
