Sidewalk Café (228 Second St.), a new restaurant in Henderson, Kentucky, opened July 9. It offers gourmet chicken salad, Italian beef, tomato basil turkey wrap, loaded potato soup, and strawberry cake. Bella e Dolce Ristorante (970 S. Hebron Ave.), a new Italian fine dining restaurant, opened Sept. 1, in the former Lorenzo’s Bistro Bakery. It offers pastas, pizzas, bruschetta, side dishes, and more. Broadway House Bistro (404 W. Broadway), a new eatery in Princeton, Indiana, opened June 30. It offers home-style meals, soups, salads, craft beer and wine selections, and more. My Vintage Mixer Dessert Café (300 W. Jennings St.), a new restaurant in Newburgh, Indiana, opened Aug. 5. The restaurant serves cakes, pies, and cupcakes, while specializing in dessert tables, specialty cakes, and wedding cakes. Bordy’s Pizza (4222 Bell Road), a new Italian restaurant in Newburgh, opened in early September. It serves pizza, pasta, and Italian tenderloins. Zuki Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Lounge (222 Main St.) opened a second location on July 28 in Downtown Evansville. Zuki serves steak, chicken, and shrimp hibachi, sushi, and more.

Jeremiah Galey is now the executive chef and owner at Bella e Dolce Ristorante. He previously served as the executive chef at the Red Geranium Restaurant, located at 520 North St. in New Harmony, Indiana. Kirby’s Private Dining (1119 Parrett St.) owner Scott Schymik is opening an Italian restaurant called Sauced, located at 1113 Parrett St. The restaurant, which will open in October or early November, will serve pasta dishes, steak, and seafood entrees. Red Lobster (4605 Bellemeade Ave.) recently completed an eight-week-long remodel of the interior and exterior, which involved adding dimmer lights, darker and more modern colors, darker wood, and a face lift to the outside. It is the first time in 16 years the Evansville restaurant has been remodeled. Al Dente (318 Main St. Ste. 100) is closing its doors in October. Hurry and dine before its gone!

Delizio Gourmet Italian Eatery (145 Main St.) has closed its doors at in Henderson. Delizio first opened in January 2013 and operated for one year before closing. It reopened a few weeks later, but has ceased operations for the second time in 19 months. Main Gate Sports Bar & Restaurant (518-520 Main St.) has closed.
