Azzip Pizza was honored as a top 100 national fast-casual “Mover and Shaker.” The annual Mover and Shaker list honors the industry’s top restaurant brands, with Azzip in the 67th spot this year alongside other brands like Starbucks, Panera Bread, McAlister’s Deli, and Chipotle.
“The Top 100 list was used in my original pitch at Purdue in 2012 when there were very few pizza restaurants included, which helped emphasize my idea that there was a gap in the market in this segment,” says founder and co-CEO Brad Niemeier. “For Azzip to make this list eight years later represents such a cool milestone in our history.”
Azzip was added to the list based on its sustained growth, focus on great workplace environments, and unique approach to customer loyalty. The company’s three consecutive years of double-digit same-store sales growth, better than industry average employee retention, and high customer ratings were cited as proof of their success in a competitive restaurant industry.
“This is a team success through and through,” says Niemeier. “We wouldn’t be here today without a whole bunch of people believing in what we are trying to do with Azzip.”
