The Square is a small, square-shaped secure credit card reader that connects to your iPhone or iPad. It encrypts every swipe of a credit card through an Internet connection.
Simply download the app, sign up on the website, and a free card reader will be mailed to you so you can begin taking payments.
“Square Register can wirelessly connect receipt printers, kitchen ticket printers, or cash drawers to your iPad,” the website says.
Square features very simple, easy-to-use pricing methods. There are two options. First, you can pay just 2.75 percent per swipe for all major credit cards that you run, or pay a flat rate of $275 per month. After running a credit card through Square, the funds are deposited directly into your account within one to two business days.
Don’t Miss: With Square Wallet there is no need to keep cash or even credit cards on hand. After linking your credit or debit card to the app, simply say your name and your picture will pop up on the Square Register. Confirm the picture is you, and the payment is completed.
