Fashion Forward

Over the past decade, Downtown Evansville’s Main Street has seen a resurgence of boutique shopping. The one piece missing, however, was a store catering to clothing and fashion — until Posh on Main moved into the space at 330 Main St., Ste. B, in April last year.

Posh was previously located on the West Side, known as Posh Artisan Marketplace and owned by Tami Doerflein. When Doerflein’s business partner, Vicki Bohleber, teamed up with her to co-own the shop, the pair decided to move Posh to the city’s growing Main Street.

“When you think of boutiques, you think of clothing along with other things, and there was no true [clothing] boutique down here,” says Bohleber. “We carry everything from small to 3X, which is a little bit different from some boutiques.”

In addition to the variety of women’s and children’s clothing, Posh also designs custom T-shirts for all occasions, from family vacations and reunions to bridal party designs, and offers home décor pieces, jellies and jams, soaps, lotions, jewelry, and other accessories. Like in the previous shop, Posh on Main has participated in community events since relocating, like the Spring and Fall Wine Walks, and supports local makers like Evansville Coffee Company, Long Family Farm, Harmony Lavender Farm, and Jesus is Key jewelry.

“Our neighbors have been very welcoming and very supportive,” says Bohleber. “The Downtown area is growing, and we are happy to be a part of it.”
