The collection of historic and vintage Evansville items owned by duo Mark Smith and Eric Schneider has been built by perusing yard sales, auctions, and antique stores from all over. Though Smith calls the collection “modest,” he and Schneider recognize the significance of the items and their connection to Evansville history.
“We travel all over and usually always find Evansville related stuff no matter how far away we go,” says Smith. “It’s everywhere.”
The two started their venture around six years ago and are driven by a passion for antique advertising signs and a love for historic items.
“We sell a little, trade, and even donate things back to family members. That’s what it’s all about, preserving the past,” says Smith. “We do this as a hobby and not a business.”
