Tyrone’s Chicken, House of Como

He’s been a chef at this long-loved Mediterranean-and-more restaurant since 2011, and last year, Tyrone Patton developed this poultry dish after experimenting with some hot spices and seasonings, giving it a kick. Pair Tyrone’s Chicken with the Arabian salad, one of Como’s best-known dishes.

This coffee — served hot or iced — was developed in 2019 after the 2003 University of Evansville alum’s Academy Award win for Best Actor for his portrayal of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Local movie fans were treated to a sweet combination of popcorn syrup, milk, espresso, and caramel drizzle. Seven years after Malek’s big win, his namesake macchiato has kept a permanent, albeit lower-profile, spot on the drinks roster at Honey Moon’s now four locations.

Not satisfied with just one or two off-menu items? This East Side eatery offers diners a separate list of 39 items — bonus points for those who can read the Chinese script on the back. Designed for those seeking a more traditional Chinese meal, it features dishes not typically found at American-Chinese restaurants, such as Chengdu shrimp, sautéed or hot-braised pork intestine, kung pao squid or squid in black bean sauce, and ma po tofu.
