This summer, as more of us felt more comfortable traveling, several members of the Evansville Living staff took the opportunity to explore other parts of the country. Take a look at where we headed off to this summer!
Creative Director Laura Mathis: My oldest daughter Natalie spent the summer stage managing at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, New York. We went to visit her and enjoy the many waterfalls and wineries.
Staff Writer Dallas Carter: I ventured home to St. Louis, Missouri, for a float trip and holiday festivities with friends on the Fourth of July.
Senior Account Executive Jessica Hoffman: My 6-year-old daughter Helena likes to dig, so we hunted for some gemstones in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Managing Editor Jodi Keen: I’m saving my summer trip for October and heading to St. Petersburg, Florida, this fall.
Summer Intern Grace McFadden: I flew to Los Angeles to visit my older sister Molly. My favorite activity of the trip was venturing out to Catalina Island for a day and exploring the disconnected seaside lifestyle.
Sales and Marketing Coordinator Misti Wagemann: My family enjoyed fun in the sun and the ocean view of Destin, Florida.
Senior Graphic Designer Casey Scarbrough: I went on a family trip to Estes Park, Colorado, and got to go on some amazing hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Tucker Publishing Group President Todd Tucker: I went with family and significant others (of course) to visit friends at my new favorite place, Cape Cod. I always have headed due south, but the Cape has proven to be a really special place for us. My big vacation will be … see my wife’s vacation plans.
Staff Writer Riley Guerzini: I’ll be traveling to Lexington, Kentucky, for the Railbird music festival at the end of the month. I’m excited to have fun and probably sweat a lot.
Senior Account Executive Jennifer Rhoades: We traveled to Houston, Texas, to visit my mother-in-law. I purchased Houstonia magazine while I was in town to see which attractions we should check out.
Editor and Publisher Kristen Tucker: It’s the summer of yes, which is what I said about joining a small group of women on Menorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, next month.
